Virginie Roux, owner of the perfume brand Au Pays de la Fleur d’Oranger, and co-owner of La Place, has generously welcomed us to her space.

The fact that you participate in Les Rives de la Beauté, and are attending an event with such a vague title as a ‘Bad Girls Perfume Literary Salon’ makes me happy. Clearly, 1) you love perfume, literature, and the arts, and 2) you’re adventurers — OPEN to exploring the unknown.

The Bad Girl Perfumes part of this Literary Salon are the following:

1) I’ve taken the liberty of expanding the definition of literature from its 20^th century limits of the printed words on paper, to include 21^st century realities that include online digital forms of communication ;

2) The style of the salon will be more like a press review of recent publications ;

3) We’ll be smelling some wonderfully wicked fragrances ;

4)Three of the publications are in French and two are in English. OUI !/ YES !

We will explore and discuss 5 recently released publications, after which we’ll explore a selection of fragrances they might call to mind.
